Lorraine Weiner, MFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving clients in San Diego since 1984. She grew up in Culver City, California, and attended San Diego State University where she earned her B.A. in Psychology. She obtained her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from USIU in 1983, and obtained MFT licensure in 1985.Since that time, Lorraine has worked steadily in private practice, hospital, and residential treatment settings. She was a Program Director and Therapist at San Diego Center for Children, directed treatment and Social Work Staff at Triple L Group Homes in Ramona, and worked as a Social Worker at Rancho Park Hospital and Residential Treatment Center. Lorraine has decades of experience working with challenging children, adults, and families. She has developed a specialty in treating traumatized individuals who have been victims of crime and abuse. Her gentle, but ever goal-seeking treatment of children in play therapy is highly developed as an art. Lorraine has extensive experience working with adoption and infertility clientele. She ran support groups for the national infertility organization, RESOLVE, in both San Diego and Los Angeles, and has been a regular speaker and presenter in the area of adoptions at their annual Symposiums.
