Cynthia has been a member of the Play Therapy Association and she is a current member of the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).

Cynthia has worked with children and adolescents in residential treatment centers and outpatient family centers.  She has counseled  couples with marital difficulties and, whenever possible, likes to see the entire family with a family systemic approach. Cynthia likes to help others rediscover their innate strengths. She provides a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment for healing and positive change.

Cynthia uses her clinical experience and advanced training to focus on an eclectic therapeutic approach with her clients. She has advanced training with Ericksonian hypnosis, EMDR, play and sand tray therapy.  Cynthia uses cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, brief therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.  She loves to teach her patients how to connect to their own inner body wisdom.  Cynthia enjoys providing group therapy for patients to enhance long lasting positive changes.  She especially likes to facilitate groups for women with family life transition issues.
