SoulCollage®: A One Day Introductory Workshop

By Teresa Grame, LCSW, ATR

Coastal Psychiatric Medical Associates, Inc is offering a one day introductory SoulCollage® workshop on Saturday, October 23, 2010.  Teresa Grame, the workshop leader, is a Registered Art Therapist and Soul Collage® facilitator.  The SoulCollage® process was developed by Seena Frost described in her book, SoulCollage®: An Intuitive Collage Process for Individuals and Groups.

SoulCollage® is a creative method for making a deck of cards that represent the unique aspects of the self and one’s personal guides.  Participants will learn how to tap into their intuition and create SoulCollage® cards using magazine pictures, glue and scissors.

SoulCollage® cards provide a source of self-direction and consist of inner and outer guides and challengers.  Each card has a positive intent for a person’s life, often having both a light and shadow side.  Some guides are parts of the inner psyche or represent people and animals in the individual’s community.  Other cards have a universal or intuitive nature.

SoulCollage® cards can be used for meditation, self-discovery and self-guidance.  The facilitator will demonstrate a reading in which an individual interprets the meaning of his or her own cards as they relate to important areas in one’s life. Cards are not used for fortune telling and are reproduced only for the purpose of use by the card maker.  In this introductory workshop, participants are invited to honor their inner self in a supportive card making community.
